The Gamma Iota Chapter was chartered July 9, 1948 at Arizona State University making it the FIRST fraternity on the campus. There were six charter members:

4. Del A. Green

5. William B. Shaw

6. Bobby Washington

 

The Gamma Iota Chapter is apart of the Western Province of KAPPA ALPHA PSI Fraternity Inc.
